Brand new Avalon Acoustic unloaded speaker cabinet. These
ultra-robustly designed and built
speaker cabinet enclosures
were used for Avalon's NP Evolution Series 1.0 audiophile-grade, world-class loudspeakers. These are fine furniture grade cabinets with a strikingly rich, deep cherry finish.
The enclosures are constructed with 0.75-inch-thick medium-density fiberboard with extensive internal bracing. The panels are ¾" MDF, veneered only on the outside; the enclosure is reinforced with a vertical H-brace fitted side-to-side.

Most of my equipment comes from Colorado where we enjoy a semi-arid (DRY) climate. This is important as heat and humidity are the main deteriorating factors affecting audio equipment, especially speakers. Humidity attacks and accelerates deterioration of electronic circuitry and the flexible surrounds in speakers.

Testing

Audio/video equipment is tested for all basic functions and many secondary functions, but we cannot always test every feature and setting. Amps, receivers & speakers are connected & tested for FM tuning & playback from a CD, tape, DVD, phono, etc. CD, DVD & tape players/recorders are cleaned and tested for playback, record, FF & REW.  Any defects found are noted in the ad.
